All EU citizens are able to purchase property in Greece. They have the same rights and obligations as Greek nationals when buying property as a holiday home or permanent residence.

Once you have agreed to make a purchase with Lifestyle Homes we will produce a written Purchase Agreement. This agreement will include exactly what we are selling to you, what is included in the price, the agreed specification, the completion date, and the agreed stage payments.

All of the prices that Lifestyle Homes quote you include all legal and notary fees. There are no hidden extras to include and absolutely no surprises at any stage. In fact the only fee you will have to pay is to your lawyer. This makes sense as the lawyer acts on your behalf not ours. This way you can be sure that there are no conflicts of interest! Lawyers' fees are worked out on a percentage basis. They are usually no more than you would expect to pay in the UK. A typical house purchase price of €200,000 would incur a fee of €1200 plus €120 for the Notary. That is it.

Staged Payment Plan

Our normal procedure is a staged payment plan.

A 10% deposit is usually paid at this stage of the process. This deposit is returnable if for any reason Lifestyle Homes are unable to complete the transaction, i.e. we were unable to transfer the land to your name.

Lifestyle Homes will agree and set up a comfortable staged payment plan. Our customers are protected from the risk of paying the entire amount of the purchase in advance. Documentary proof and photo evidence will be provided in a format of choice. This way you are able to monitor the progress of the build and ensure each milestone is reached before releasing the next stage amount.
 

Alternative Plan
10% - 90%

We understand that some customers would like to purchase a property on Crete now to ensure against steep property price rises in the future. However, many customers are not in a financial position to do so at this time. Perhaps the purchase of a home on Crete is dependent on a house sale in the UK or elsewhere. To enable our customers to take advantage of the lower prices we offer a 10% - 90% payment split.

This means that we will only take a 10% deposit from you upon agreeing the house style, plot and building specification. Upon completion of your home and finishing to your satisfaction then and only then will we ask for the remaining 90% of the purchase price.
This Plan has different legal and tax implications which affect the final house price.
